Welp, I can’t get shit done today. I’m headed to Breckenridge next week, and all that I can think about is snowboarding! I have a ton of stuff to get done at work, but I just can’t get moving on any of it.

Obviously we will be partaking in much snowboarding and something else that CO has recently become famous for;), but what else?

Any CO/ski/snowboard Oppos have any other suggestions for things to do while we’re there? Nightlife, restaurants, sites etc... It’s my first time in CO so any advice is welcome.

Happy Friday!

Mountains and weed. Just be sure to follow instructions, otherwise you are going to end up at the ER because you ate a whole edible.

when I was a teen(in the 90s), i would ski high all the time. never crashed into a tree or any other person. I was an avid skier, and at the time smoker too.....

Smoking and working out is awesome.

The T-Rex because I had to stop by one of my buddies houses yesterday and his neighbor has got one (first one I’ve seen outside of a show/rap video).

Also, yes it does fit in perfectly with just about any alternative sports and that’s what I was referring to with “other things that CO has recently become famous for”

Sound advice, luckily I’ve already made that mistake in Amsterdam minus the ER. Not as bad as my sister though, she fell off a bar stool in a coffee shop and then laughed until she pissed herself.

Jeep rental and Black Bear Pass.

Wouldn’t advise mixing it with that other thing though.

Make sure to eat at The Fort in Morrison. Also Morrison road west is a fun drive. 285 is more scenic if that’s your thing. Us6 west from golden back to i70 is another good drive.

I love living here.

The guy in the coffee shop tried so hard to warn us too. He’s like “I get it, you’re American, you all want the strong stuff. Please, try this first.” My British brother in law and I looked at each other and said “Fuck that, give us the strong stuff.”...mistake.

Yep. Million Dollar Highway is extremely nice, but not very sporty. Still an excellent drive. But it’s a long way from Denver. I actually have the 986 today up in Genesee. Lots of fun roads around here.

Some Kinja won’t let me respond to your post, a couple things. You will get drunk quicker in Breck. 9000ft is a doozy, so drink lots of water - then drink some more. You should drive Loveland Pass. It is US 6, on the map it is the squiggly line right next to the Eisenhower tunnel on I-70. If you are lucky you will spot some preproduction testing mules. I’ve seen quite a few on that pass.

If you get stuck and cause a back up on I-70, I will drive up there and beat you with a live halibut. Bring some weed with you when you go snowboarding. Hope for a blue sky day, find a quiet spot and enjoy the view while finishing a bowl. Bring cash, dispensaries are cash only. Loads of good beer and breweries in Breck, Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon area. Keystone is only a short drive away as well as Vail. You may be able use your pass at all three hills. They are all owned by Vail resorts.

In Frisco Back Country Brewery is good and in Dillon the Dillon Dam Brewery is also very good.

I’m more of a fan of Vail. Red Lion is a cool spot. I like Sweet Basil, La Bottega and Pepi’s. The chef(pretty sure it was Kelly Liken) at Kelly Liken competed on the Iron Chef. Food is top notch in Vail but prices are going to reflect that.

Dropping the top this weekend? I was thinking of riding up through Morrison this weekend to enjoy the weather.

Good call on the altitude! Tahoe is as high as I’ve been (for any length of time) and thats a good 3-4k ft down from Breck.

Transportation is being handled because my friends are awesome (it’s my bachelor party). So if you beat our driver with a live halibut it’s only going to make the trip better lol.

Were kicking around the idea of going to Vail. Everyone has said its amazing. Thanks for the tips!

Nice. I really want to get a bike. Sadly there’s only so much money... Enjoy though, that’s a great road.

Yeah, but edibles work a bit differently than smoking.. Smoking relaxes you and seems to sharpen your focus. Whereas edibles effect you more physically.. give you wobbly knees etc... At least that’s what a.... friend.. told me....
